Each workgroup consists of at least three Partnership members and is staffed by a WV Prevention Resource Center staff member. Epidemiological (EPI)WorkgroupPurpose: To serve in an advisory capacity to the WV Partnership to Promote Community Well-Being on the collection and analysis of archival indicator data and/or other primary data collection efforts as part of a statewide needs assessment.Goals: Bring systematic, analytical thinking to prevention; promote data-driven decision making, and provide core support for data-driven decision-making to the Partnership on the basis of an analysis of epidemiological data compiled at the state, county, and to the extent possible, sub-county geographic levels. Funding Study WorkgroupPurpose: The purpose of the Funding Study is to track funding streams administered by West Virginia state agencies that provide services to families and children. More than 2000 funding streams are tracked, catalogued into six functional categories including: Education, Health Care, Economic Support, Safety and Family Stability, Economic Development, and Community Capacity. The goal of the study is to improve cross system planning coordination and program development, implementation, and evaluation.
