Through a federal grant administered through the WV Department of Health & Human Resources' Division on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, the West Virginia Prevention Resource Center coordinates field implementation of annual tobacco retailer inspections mandated by federal Synar regulation. This website contains an overview of the Synar regulation, copies of Synar inspection results, and information about past and present efforts relative to Synar compliance and other tobacco prevention/enforcement efforts in West Virginia.
