Prevention - Related Listserves
The WVPRC currently manages several listserves to facilitate prevention-related
communication. The purpose of and people subscribed to each of the listserves
is detailed below. If you have questions or comments about these listserves
and/or you wish to subscribe/unsubscribe or double check your email address,
please notify WVPRC Communication Specialist Michele Burnside at michele.burnside@marshall.edu
or (304) 766-6301 ext 23.
Listserves automatically distribute email messages to individuals who are
part of a list. In other words, you can send an email to many people at once
using only one address.
WV General Prevention Listserve (forum-prevention@lists.marshall.edu)
- Purpose: This list is intended to facilitate communication
across the state regarding prevention. This includes any and all prevention,
although substance abuse prevention often dominates the field. Although
this list is primarily intended to be used by those of you working at
the local level, this listserve will also be used by the WVPRC to distribute
information.
- Subscribers & Subscribing: Any one can subscribe to this
list. To subscribe, please contact Michele Burnside at michele.burnside@marshall.edu.
- Sending Messages : This list is restricted,
which means only list members can send email messages to the list. To
send an email message to the list, simply send a message to forum-prevention@lists.marshall.edu.
WV SPF SIG Implementation Grant Project Director Listserve (implement-spfsig@lists.marshall.edu)
- Purpose: This list is primarily intended to facilitate administration/contract/fiscal/grant
related communication between WVPRC Community Grants Coordinator Laura Sarver
and WV SPF SIG Implementation Grant Project Directors. It is also intended
to be a communication venue among project directors.
- Subscribers & Subscribing: This list is intended to include
only official WV SPF SIG Implementation Grant Project Directors. We realize,
however, that sometimes the official PD is not necessarily the person doing
the PD work. Therefore, all official and unofficial PDs should be on this
list. If you are a project director and someone other than yourself should
be on the list, please notify Laura Sarver. There should be no more than
two people per county subscribed to this list. If any messages sent to this
list need shared with others, it is the responsibility of the official PD
to forward the message. Additionally, all WVPRC Staff are subscribed to
this list.

- Unsubscribing: Although technically anyone subscribed to this
list can unsubscribe themselves by following the unsubscribe directions
you received in the "Welcome to the Listserve Email," please do
not do so or you will miss out on vital grant related information.
REGIONAL/LOCAL LISTSERVES/DISTRIBUTION LISTS

Purpose: The SPF SIG WebBoard
is a site where users can log in and access their
conference group. From there users can post messages,
have conferences, and share documents related to
SPF SIG. The WebBoard contains a SPF SIG listserve.

Subscribing: In order to become
a user of the WebBoard, Elisabeth Duchesneau of
Westat must create a log in ID and password for
you and grant access to the board. Duchesneau is
available by calling (240) 453-2917 or emailing
elisabethduchesneau@westat.com.
