Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence Prevention
The Higher Education Center's purpose is to help college and community leaders develop, implement, and evaluate programs and policies to reduce student problems related to alcohol and other drug use and interpersonal violence. The Center favors a comprehensive approach to prevention. Central to this approach is a mix of environmental management strategies to address the institutional, community, and public policy factors that contribute to these problems. The Center supports the development of a prevention infrastructure, primarily by facilitating the work of statewide prevention initiatives and campus-community coalitions. The Center provides trainings, technical assistance, and publications to support these efforts. The Center also promotes innovative program development to improve student education, campus-based media campaigns (including social norms campaigns), early intervention, treatment, and recovery strategies, and enforcement.

Parents Who Host Lose the Most
The "Parents Who Host, Lose The Most: Don't be a party to teenage drinking" public awareness campaign was developed by Drug-Free Action Alliance in 2000 to educate parents about the health and safety risks of serving alcohol at teen parties and to increase awareness of and compliance with the Ohio Underage Drinking Laws. Campaign information has been requested for replication in more than 40 states and Canada. In 2001, the campaign received a national award as a promising prevention program.

The Century Council
The Century Council is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fighting drunk driving and underage drinking. The Century Council promotes responsible decision-making regarding drinking or non-drinking of beverage alcohol and discourages all forms of irresponsible consumption through education, communications, research, law enforcement, and other programs.

Too Smart to Start
Too Smart To Start (www.toosmarttostart.samhsa.gov) consists of evidence-based materials to help professionals and volunteers conduct underage alcohol use prevention programs in their communities. Designed to educate 9- to 13-year-olds about the harms of alcohol use, the materials in this series suggest activities and programs that send a clear message about underage drinking and support parents and caregivers as they participate in their children’s activities. These materials can be used to start a new initiative or complement existing underage alcohol use prevention efforts.

Underage Drinking Enforcement Training Center
The Training Center has been funded by OJJDP to provide training, technical assistance, and resource materials. The goal of the Training Center is to provide science-based, practical, and effective training and technical assistance to states and communities involved in enforcing underage alcohol access and use laws.
