Prevention WV Television Show
Prevention West Virginia is a 30-minute interview-style television program hosted by the WV Prevention Resource Center’s (WVPRC) Michele Burnside. It highlights prevention topics and programs relevant to West Virginia and includes a prevention news segment. Prevention WV is produced by the
WV Library Commission’s Library Television Network (WVLTN) in conjunction with the
WVPRC. The WVPRC is funded by federal grants administered through the WV Department of Health & Human Resources and the WV Governor’s Office via its Division of Criminal Justice Services.

Each episode of Prevention WV airs for one month on the WV Library Television Network (WVLTN), which is carried on the followings stations:

Copies of the Show
To request a DVD copy, please contact Mark Lanham (558-2531 ext 2045 or marcus@wvlib.wv.us) and indicated which format (VHS or DVD) you prefer. If you would like more than one copy, there will be a fee ($10 per DVD).
Tapings
Prevention WV is taped once a month on a Tuesday afternoon in the WVLTN studio, which is located in the basement of the Cultural Center at the State Capitol (see directions below). Guest msut arrive at the Cultural Center no later than 2:50 pm. Michele Burnside will meet you in the Cultural Center lobby to escort you to the studio. When the production crew is ready, we will begin taping the show. It takes approximately 40 minutes. We usually get started by 3:30 pm, and guests are usually on their way back to their cars by 4:15 pm.
Directions to the Studio
Take I-64 to Exit 99 (Greenbrier St. – Airport – State Capitol)
From the exit ramp, turn West down the hill onto Greenbrier St., get into the left turning lane, turn left at the first stoplight, and veer left into the parking lot beside the parking garage.
Park in one of the metered spaces.
